Sebastian's Voodoo
In today's episode, Boing Boing tv presents an animated short by Joaquin Baldwin, a UCLA grad student working towards his MFA in animation. Joaquin has recieved numerous awards for his work, including Best Animated Short at the Sedona International Film Festival and has been featured on the front pages of Youtube, Crackle.com, and Dailymotion.com.

Brilliant short, quality animation as well.
I don't really like this, for a lack of originality.
I think the mood set and the 3d environment try to emulate the more than excellent work from 3d artist Shane Acker (http://www.shaneacker.com), and this can probably be seen in the short film "9" by Acker's studio.
I invite everyone to see it, as it's a terrificly well produced piece as well as having a beautiful story.
this piece won a prize at Ars Electronica 2005.

#7: Yeah, the rebellious voodoo doll genre is so played out. :-/
I just love the rep of this vicious voodoo doll - the movie doesn't give me a feel of the FEEL of teh doll though -- is it soft , can you cuddle it, will it socialise with other stuffed stuff?
