This 4 minute video should have been cut down to 2 minutes. The idea is interesting, but the presentation was disjointed and hard to follow.
You wanted the short TV news version, read by a smiley newsperson, with Daniel O'Connell's commentary chopped cut down to soundbites?
No. I wanted the version that focused on Daniel O'Connell and My Dummy. Not the version that did cut up O'Connell's presentation into sound bites padded with movie clips.
@ Coldspell:
Thank you very much for taking the time to watch BBtv and offer your comments. The production team at BBtv appreciates and values the thoughts and opinions of our viewers and def considers them when it comes to producing the content we publish.
With the exception of a few 'ums' and 'uhs', we presented the interview with Daniel O'Connell in it's entirety, exactly as it happened - nothing was cut. In the A segment, we did add some of Mr. O'Connell's sound bites into the piece for effect where appropriate. These bites came from the interview in the B segment, and were purposely left in the B segment as well so that the audience could understand them in context.
Part of what we found so interesting about MyDummy is the response it produces in the average person seeing it in action, which is something that Mr. O'Connell refers to in his interview. What we did with the A segment was to share the BBtv response to MyDummy through a parody of a horror flick trailer akin to The Omen meets Chuckie. Thus, the disjointedness.
The production team at BBtv works tirelessly to bring its audience creative and interesting episodes. We do this on a daily basis, which is not at all an easy task. To date, we have turned out well over 150 original episodes. We love what we do of course, and a great deal of thought, pulling of hair, pizza and Red Bull, and nights that stretch on til 1 or 2 AM are pretty much the norm for us. We regret that we will never be able to please everyone, for sure - sometimes we strike out and simply have to press on.
This seems an appropriate opportunity to publicly thank and congratulate the BBtv production team for all their hard work and dedication. My sincerest thanks and gratitude.
I would also like to thank all of our viewers for their dedication to tuning in and caring enough about what we're doing to take the time to comment.
Best regards,

I enjoy BBtv and often forward them to my friends. I didn't mean to sound like a jerk.
