Wearable Computing / Sensors and Sensibility

Xeni visits BarCamp LA and trys out the work of wearable computing designer "Robo," known to humans as Ross Bochnek. Next, sneaky use expert and garage inventor Cy Tymony swings by Xeni's house -- Xeni's elderly Sicilian neighbor falls in love with the robot Cy constructed out of trash and knicknacks from the 99 cent store.

(Special thanks to Crystal and Jason "Boogah" Cosper and all the BarCamp organizers!)

i LOVE this episode.

i think this is the first time i've ever seen xeni be a total ham. the slow, cool, headset-to-shades move? superfly. usually i get the vibe of her being very passionate about whatever subject is on hand. but the sly, laid-back, granny-toting xeni? new and likable.

It was a bit on the fluffy side, but I'll take it over THE TODAY SHOW any day of the week. (And Xeni is more photogenic and warm than even Ann Curry.)

The music in the "Sensors & Sensibilities" segment, was that lifted from KINGDOM HEARTS? I'm not a videogamer by any stretch of the imagination, but I recognized the melody from the commercials.

Are you Thomas Linden Neff? Because if you are, you're not the most disappointed person in this conversation.
