BBtv in the news: Boston Globe, NY Mag

Joshua Glenn of the Boston Globe produced a neat audio slideshow interview with Mark about the iconography in BBtv's opening animation sequence: Link.

Over at New York Magazine, Emma Pearse interviewed Xeni about what could possibly be more awesome than unicorns, and how one might create "functioning spaceships out of Popsicle sticks and rubber bands." Link.

If it was a unicorn robot playing the national anthem, with kittens, it would be more beautiful.

*sigh* if only it were so.....

Isn't totally ruling out studio shots limiting?

Maybe you can get some cool Googie diner to host segments where you sit down with people. Or build weird stuff. Building a robot on a diner table would rock.

@Stefan: "Forever" just means the next 5 minutes, until we try something new that turns out to be fun to watch. There is no "totally" in the BBtv equation at this time, except for the fact that we are striving to be totally fuckin' sweet at everything there is to be totally fuckin' sweet at. (SOURCE)

I liked the studio shots, "The Soup" like segments were funny.

I think the talking heads in the blue ether worked pretty well, and were plenty enjoyable, though that format does indeed lend itself to the reading of headlines interspersed with video clips, which ain't the most innovative blogoshow. Though actually, y'know, people (me) are too lazy to read the underlying textual bits that accompany the vids--- Boing Boing Regular is already a textual multimedia environment--- so it's important never to have necessary introductory info in the words.

Whatevs; I suspect you people are trained professionals, and the median will be found.
