Blade Runner
A new, digitally remastered "Final Cut" of Blade Runner is showing theatrically in a few cities, with a 5-disc DVD coming out in December. Is it worthy, or in need of retirement?

Your production values are very poor. Try paying attention to transitions! Xeni could be lit a little better too.

When the chimes started in after 'Though she does dream of Electric Unicorns', I started expecting a Blade Runner remake with Xeni as a Private Eye in a trenchcoat ... call it a waking dream ...
the advert for create simplicity is really annoying, maybe they could do a new one now?
The sound for the new intro animation seems an awful lot like Mario running and jumping in Crazy Kong, a Donkey Kong clone from back in the early 80's....

I never liked how the unicorn's horn shook like it was made of rubber. Let's hope they fix that too,

I just wanted to put my two cents in to counter all those who are criticizing BBTV. I love it. I think you guys should keep it up.
Nothing has made me not want to watch. I will keep watching as long as you make them (which I hope will be a long time) and I agree with Dmitri, it's all very Boingy.

Hmm... If you pause this video a scant three seconds in and look into her eyes, it's a dead giveaway.
I first saw Xeni plugging BoingBoing on AOTS; her charisma, inner light, and beauty (along with her talk of SETI) are what brought me here, and I'm very happy with what I've seen.
It is a frothy shot of knowledge, humor, and happiness daily, and doesn't try to be anything else

Adam Ant poster in Bladerunner? Let's see...Bladerunner was released in 1982...Adam and the Ants reached the height of their popularity around 1981...it's POSSIBLE! What does this mean? And why can't I find a clip or screenshot of this? I am looking at my 1992 Director's cut and I can't see it. I need an image navigator like Deckard uses to locate Zhora's image in Leon's photos. I need more resolution! Damn you Scott!
@FirstPesonShow.net-kevin -- Hey, I think our ad folks have fixed the "sound too loud on ads" issue now (6pm PT). How's it sound now? Should be cool moving forward. Sorry 'bout that.
@everyone: Joel, Cory, and Pesco will each debut shortly, and Mark will be more of a regular part of the show! We're just kind of getting our material together, figuring out what sort of approach suits each person best, and getting a sense of what feels most boingy. So, yes, definitely expect a lot more diversity in terms of the faces you see. We'll be doing lots more stuff out in the world, and other wacky formats I don't even wanna talk about yet.
And, also expect a greater portion of stuff coming from our friends (filmmakers, nerds, explorers, whatever, folks we know).
And, expect stuff from you, our audience (friends we haven't met yet! ← awwwwcheeseball)
Thanks for hanging in there, I know there are plenty of little flaws and rough edges. Our promise to you is not that this will be flawless, but that it will be as honest of an experiment as we are capable of doing, and that we will try to evolve this into something great, and that we will try to always make new mistakes, as Esther Dyson says.

Alright, I'm a little late in commenting cuz Xeni's already cut down the overcritical amoung us, but I just wanted to say that I enjoy BBTV very much! I can't say that I love each episode from beginning to end, but it's really nice that each one is so short. Doesn't feel like a waste of time if there's something in there I just don't get...actually, there's only been one instant of that and it was "World's Most Polluted Places." I do understand it, duh!, but I guess it didn't make me laugh as much as I expected it to.
Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that I subject my (non-boingboinging) coworkers and friends to this on a daily basis and they find it weird in a (mostly) wonderful way!

Is there some reason you don't de-interlace the videos before you encode them and send them out? If you de-interlaced them, they would look better and take up less space...
